School environment and smoking

A study published in the June 2008 issue of the journal BMC Public Health suggests that the high school environment has a significant impact on students' smoking habits. The quality of teacher-student relationships and their attitude toward school affected smoking rates. The researchers suggested that school-wide interventions could be an effective element of anti-smoking interventions. You can read more here.
