Judge blocks state autism funding changes
A federal judge blocked state budget changes in Ohio that would have affected funding for an autism treatment program in Columbus. U.S. District Judge James Graham issued a temporary restraining order because he thought it likely that the changes violated Medicaid law. The Parents League for Effective Autism Services sued The Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Department of Job and Family Services, who argued that the Step by Step Academy was charging fees that were not in line with those of other providers.
